INSPIRATION 'American Gigolò" 1980... COS SS//2012

In this scene of  'American Gigolò" we see Lauren Hutton wearing a wonderful trenchcoat accessorized with a Bottega Veneta clutch [left]... This trenchcoat is the only garment Lauren Hutten gets to wear from the Giorgio Armani costumes of the movie, created actually exclusively for the male protagonist Richard Gere. In this moment the same kind of trenchcoat is available at COS [right].

INTO THE SAME IDEA... Balmain and Isabel Marant FW2012//13

Seasons may change, designers and stylists may come and go, but the collections of Balmain [all lefts] and Isabel Marant [all rights] manage somehow and very often to look alike. Also it happens that similar looks are dressed on the same model like in the first picture.

INSPIRATION Mata Hari 1910... Greta Garbo 1931

Margaretha Geertruida Zelle, better known under her stage name Mata Hari [left], was a Dutch exotic dancer and courtesan who had been accused to be a spy for Germany during World War I and therefore executed by a firing squad. Greta Garbo [right] interpreted her in 1931 in the movie 'Mata Hari", wearing wonderful clothes and jewelry created by Adrian, her friend and in-house costume designer at Metro-Goldwyn-Mayer.
