INSPIRATION Balenciaga FW2011||12 ad campaign... Balmain SS||2014 ad campaign

My blog is not the first one to notice the resemblance between the advertising campaigns of two of the most important historical French fashion labels, and it is quite incredible that this could have happened. The Balenciaga ad for FW 2011||12 has been photographed by Steven Meisel [left] and might have been an inspiration to the SS||2014 campaign shot by Inez and Vinoodh [right], even if both recall a dance scene from the movie Flashdance, directed by Adrian Lyne in 1983.
