The iconic ‘Jezebel” sweater with a patch of a heart pierced by a jewelled dagger [left], might have been an inspiration to Marco Zanini's FW 2014||15 haute couture collection for Schiaparelli [right]. The surreal feeling of this design fits in fact very well the heritage of Elsa Schiaparelli. The American designer Susan Dannenberg, who created a series of so called ‘Suse” sweaters in the the forties, became famous also due to this Life magazine feature photographed by Nina Leen and attracted Hollywood stars like Barbara Stanwyck and Esther Williams who became some of her best customers.
